my friend says im pretty when she feels bad about herself, but otherwise she makes fun of how i look?! HELP?!?
usually my friend has my back but lately shes been insulting how i look a lot. like, ‘your eyeliner makes you look gothic’ ‘you have dark circles under your eyes’ ‘are you tired?your eyes are red’ ‘your hair is parted all wierd’ ‘why did you wear that?’ ‘you dont HAVE ankles’ ‘your legs look those anime girls” ‘your hands are tiny’ ‘ahh!dont look at me like that,youre eyes are huge enough as they are’ ‘load on the eye makeup much today?’ ‘yeah, your hair is crap-blonde’ and her latest insult, ‘HEY,BRITNEY?!’ (as in, spears) it really hurts my feelings and i get self-concious and feel worse than usual, but shes my best friend. i dont insult her like that. when shes pitying herself, she says im so pretty and skinny, but otherwise she makes fun of me. i dont know what to do???
A real friend wouldn’t speak to you that way. Tell her that you are hurt by her comments and you want her to knock it off. If she doesn’t quit then find a new friend because you deserve to be treated better than that.
